I’m so excited to be writing this post and officially introducing you to the newest member of our family. Say hello to Peach, our gorgeous fox red Cockapoo!

Cockapoos
Since we moved into our first home last year, we have been talking about getting another furry friend to keep Ella company, and it was an easy decision to go for another Cockapoo. I’d recommend a Cockapoo to any future dog owner – they take the good traits from both the Cocker Spaniel and Poodle which forms an intelligent, loyal, affectionate companion. As their fur doesn’t shed, they’re also great for anyone with allergies like myself!
Peach is an F1 Cockapoo. For anyone who is looking at Cockapoos themselves, a first generation “F1” is when the parents are a Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. After that, there is F1b (1 Cockapoo parent and 1 Cocker Spaniel parent) and F2 (2 Cockapoo parents). In Peach’s case, her mum is a Cocker Spaniel and dad a Miniature Poodle, which is the same for our 9 year old apricot Cockapoo, Ella.

Where to look?
I found both Ella and Peach through adverts on Pets4Homes, the UK’s largest free online pet marketplace. With it’s breeder verification checks, manual advert reviews and safe deposit service, Pets4Homes is a safe way to find your new furry family member without the worry of scammers or unethical breeders.
Any tips?
Puppies in general seem to be extremely popular at the moment, most likely due to lockdowns and people being able to work from home, so if you’re ready to take on the extra responsibility, you have to act fast! We were lucky enough to come across Peach’s advert only a couple of hours after it had been posted. Within 24 hours, her whole litter was reserved.
With being in a lockdown, visiting any puppies was out of the question. We did all our interactions with Peach over FaceTime, and received lots of photos and videos to make up for the lack of contact!

How is she getting on?
After bringing Peach home, we introduced her to her new sister Ella, and she’s settled right in. Within the first 3 days of living with us, Peach has already learnt her name as well as to sit and give paw on command (all credit goes to Ella who’s been a very good teacher!)
What do you think to our little Peach?

Peach is as adorable as her big sister Ella!
