If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that we are moving house! So before we finish packing up, I’m going to share all the details of our bedroom makeover.
We initially renovated our bedroom (along with the rest of our home) back in March 2020, and earlier this year, I gave this room a refresh with the help of Lick and Lust Home {pr products}…

Paint
Like our living room, our bedroom is north facing, meaning we don’t get much light in here. To try and keep the room as light as possible, I went for Lick Pink 05 {pr product} for the walls which is a lovely warm, hazy pink with earthy undertones. We added dado rails to all four walls, which we also painted in Pink 05, along with our skirting boards.

Wallpaper
For our feature wall, I chose Lust Home’s Good Vibrations Wallpaper {pr product}, which features an abstract zebra print in candy pink and mint green – the perfect starting point for our colour scheme!

Renovation
When we got our house back in 2020, the bedroom was in need of much love and care…
We started by taking the walls back to brick, before re-boarding and plastering. We wanted to keep as many original features as possible, and so restored the original floorboards, as well as the fireplace, which we decorated with pink zellige hearth tiles.

The majority of our windows were single glazed wooden sash windows, including our bedroom window. We replaced this with a double glazed PVC sash window, keeping the look of the original style.

Styling
Our funky wallpaper was the starting point for our colour scheme, and so I styled the room with plenty of pink and mint green accessories including cushions, my cute shell candle and Roberts radio.
I love the contrast of our wallpaper with our beautiful cane headboard {previous pr product}. It took me so long to find a simple wooden base to go with our headboard, but I finally found the perfect one from John Lewis. We also have our matching bamboo bedside tables and wardrobe which complement perfectly.
For lighting, we went for a ceiling pendant and two bedside wall lights. I continued this colour throughout the room with black accessories including photo frames, mirror, fireplace and ottoman. I then finished the room off with a custom neon light from Yellowpop {previous pr product}.

And there it is… my bedroom makeover! I’ll be sad to leave behind this vibrant, colourful room behind, but looking forward to working our magic on a new space very soon…
