In April, my mum hosted me a Mamma Mia themed bridal shower at her home. Think greek food, dungarees, flares and ABBA playlists! What more could you ask for?!

We did lots of DIY projects for our wedding in May, and one of them was painting 56 chairs! Luckily, I’d painted them in Farrow & Ball ‘Dix Blue’ (ad – pr product) which meant I could get plenty of use out of them as they were the perfect colour for our Mamma Mia theme! All the chairs I got were from Facebook Marketplace, ranging from £0-£5, so this was a great way to cut costs for our DIY tipi wedding.

We borrowed some trestle tables, covered them with white tablecloths and decorated with pink and teal candlesticks and bud vases (which I had also up-cycled for my wedding). I popped to the supermarket and filled them with pink roses, tulips and gypsophila, which looked so pretty. We also made a feature behind my peacock chair with a balloon arch, blue fringe curtains and stars – all the disco vibes!

For favours, I used little pots of honey and designed and printed the very cute and very fitting ‘Honey, Honey’ labels – had to get an ABBA reference in there somewhere!
I had such a lovely day celebrating with my favourite ladies. Would you host a Mamma Mia themed party?
